During the past ten years, Cassandra Woods served as Staff Development Director for one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the U.S. In this role she led talent development, supported performance management and engaged employees, teams, departments and leaders in their quest for organizational excellence. Arkansas Children’s Hospital was named to Fortune’s Top 100 Places to work for during four consecutive years. Her OD, strategic planning, talent management, employee engagement and innovation helped contribute to the organization’s success.
Cassandra currently serves as a faculty member at University of Phoenix. In this role she facilitates HR, HRM, and HCM courses in the School of Business. She gets “much joy” from interacting with undergraduate, graduate, and MBA students as she facilitates the learning and shares real-life examples from her professional experiences.
Cassandra has over 20 years’ experience in leadership, organizational development, strategic planning, change management, and employee engagement working for Fortune 100 and 500 companies which include ALLTEL, Acxiom, AT&T, and Southwestern Bell. In addition, she has served as an OD consultant for state and federal government, non-profit and educational organizations.
She serves in various leadership roles within business, professional and community organizations. Cassandra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management from Philander Smith College and a Master of Arts degree from Webster University. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and holds a Six Sigma Yellow Belt. Her national certifications include Franklin Covey, Development Dimensions International (DDI), and Achieve Global.
She resides in Little Rock, Arkansas.
