Since 1982, Joshua A. Sky has served as a trainer, facilitator, and coach. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he has been living in Southwest Florida since 1995. Combining an M.A. in Education with a B.A. in Sociology, Joshua has served as an internal trainer and a contract trainer, facilitator and coach for a wide range of organizations, including Walgreens, AT&T, Mott’s and the US Department of Defense. In addition, Joshua speaks five languages including French and Spanish and has facilitated in both Canada and Mexico as well.
With professional experiences in the corporate, healthcare, government, nonprofit and public education sectors, Joshua currently presents personally customized and pre-developed training programs throughout the United States. Topics have included Performance Management, Interpersonal Skills, Behavior Styles, Leadership, Management and Supervisory Skills, Sexual Harassment, Stress Management, Goal Setting, Effective Meeting Management, Diversity and Software Application. In 2006, Joshua became a Certified DiSC® Trainer. DiSC® products are learning instruments used to assess an individual’s natural behavior style for the purposes of self-awareness and development in all aspects of today’s workplace including leadership, sales and customer service.
Joshua has facilitated professional development groups called “Success Teams” and works as a business and life coach with individuals who want to realize their professional and personal goals in a supportive, realistic and structured environment. A complimentary coaching session is always available for those exploring this newest human performance intervention. He’s a member of the International Association of Coaching (IAC).
In 1998, and again briefly in 2001, Joshua had the privilege of serving his local professional colleagues as the President of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). Joshua has been a national member of both ASTD and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He joined two local chapters of SHRM – HR Collier (in 2004) and HRMA of SWFL (in 2010), and remains active on several committees in both groups. In 2010, he became certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and maintains his certification with continued education programs.
As President of The Sky’s The Limit Consulting, Inc., incorporated in 1999, (www.theskysthelimitconsulting.com), Joshua’s focus is to offer coaching, training and facilitation of programs to proactive organizations that are committed to improving the skills, knowledge and abilities of their greatest resource – their employees.
