Currently works for Morris Communication, parent company of the Florida Times Union and serves on various city Boards throughout Duval County to include, March of Dimes, The First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). She has 20+ years of professional Human Resources experience working in top Fortune 500 companies. Half of her Human Resources career has been spent in Generalist roles overseeing corporate human capitol strategies that varied from HR generalist to HR Director. The other half of her career has been spent working as Department Head for Staffing/Recruiting departments or teams. In this capacity she also worked in multiple high visibility roles such as – Recruiting Supervisor, Corporate Recruiter, Recruiting Project Manager for International Expansions and Enterprise Diversity Recruiting Strategy. She has worked for global and national companies such as Pepsi Cola, Sallie Mae, Best Buy Company, and Coach, Inc. Ana graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, with a degree in Secundary Education and is a 10 year US Army veteran where she served as a Commissioned Officer, in the logistics field. She is married with children and grandchildren and resides in Jacksonville, FL.
