Unconscious Bias: Breaking Down Barriers Through Awareness
April 10, 2012
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CST

The Objectives of the workshop are to introduce the concept of unconscious bias; explore the evidence that all of us hold implicit biases; examine the impact of unconscious bias decisions in recruiting, work assignments and performance evaluations; and provide steps for minimizing and correcting unconcious bias.

Before you join the webinar, please complete the race and gender – careers Implicit Association Tests using the following link – https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/demo/takeatest.html. The Implicit Association Test was designed by researchers at Harvard, Yale, UVA and Washington University to examine which words and concepts are strongly paired in people’s minds. The tests will take roughly 10 minutes to complete.
