This workshop helps participants step outside of their mental box and explore diversity as a natural strength of the organization. It will inform, educate, and inspire shared learning. Perhaps more importantly, it ignites the possibilities, and steps along the journey to increase cultural competence, recognize bias, transform oneself, the organization, and communities where we live and serve!
The basic thrust of the Developing Cultural Competencies training program is to increase sensitivity and authenticity in workplace relationships. This workshop is designed to take an in-depth look at: The Multi-Cultural Workforce: Today’s vastly diverse workforce requires managers and employees to deal effectively with differences in values, beliefs, norms, languages, etc.
In this workshop participants discuss the Discovering Diversity Profile® (pre-work)*, and identify areas of opportunity including personal action plans to achieve individual and institutional excellence. Participants will increase awareness about how behavior impacts colleagues, co-workers, and company performance. We will identify strategies that increase their ability to communicate more effectively across cultures and differences; learn diversity and inclusion do’s and don’ts, and how to take personal responsibility for inclusion. Each participant receives a confidential individual report including customized action-plan.
