Washington Diversity Council Hosts Inaugural Washington “From Boots to Suits” Veteran’s Roundtable

Mukilteo, WA – the Washington Diversity Council, in partnership with Boeing, is proud to bring the Inaugural Washington Veterans Roundtable to the Future of Flight Aviation Center on September 13, 2016. The purpose of this event is to educate business leaders on best practices to create a veteran inclusive environment. This year’s theme is “Bridging the Gap: Arming Veterans for Success.”

“It is extremely important that we continue supporting our Military even outside of active duty,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chair at the National Diversity Council. “This type of event offers support to veterans and employers in order to make the transition into the civilian workforce more comfortable.”

This half-day event will begin at 8:00 a.m. with registration and networking. Attendees will participate in moderated panel discussions covering topics such as “Recruitment Best Practices,” “The Veteran Transition to Business,” and “Discussing Disabilities.” Panelists will include military personnel and business executives from leading organizations in the Washington area. Participants will also have the opportunity to share their thoughts during the question and answer sessions following each panel discussion.

Registration for the Washington Veteran’s Roundtable is currently ongoing and can be completed at www.washingtondiversitycouncil.org/veteransroundtable. For more information, please contact Kelsea Haught at kelsea.haught@nationaldiversitycouncil.org.
