The Florida Diversity Council Presents the 8th Annual Young Women’s Leadership Symposium
Tampa Bay, FL – The Florida Diversity Council, in conjunction with Grow Financial Federal Credit Union and Ford & Harrison LLP, will be hosting their 8th Annual Young Women’s Leadership Symposium. Young Women between the ages of 14-18 are invited to register for the event being held on February 27, 2016 at the Epicurean Hotel in Tampa.
The Young Women’s Leadership Symposium promotes the development of Tampa Bay’s future women leaders by giving them rare access to influential businesswomen in an intimate breakfast setting. Each young woman will interact, in a small group, with at least one female executive mentor from an elite organization in the Tampa Bay area. The Symposium will focus on leadership, personal brand management and career/college planning. Together with their table mentors, attendees will have the opportunity to network and ask questions about future business and academic ventures, as well as work through important life and leadership building exercises.
The Symposium will include workshops led by our speakers as well as mentor/student roundtables. Keynote Speaker Mary Spio, President and Founder of Next Galaxy, will be discussing her journey from McDonalds deep-fryer to deep space engineer, and how to create and achieve the future that you want. Speaker Cynthia Bacheller, M.Ed., CDC, College Success Coach for Global Coach Network, Inc., will provide insight on choosing the best college for each girl. . Robyn Sayles, Founder of Creative Catapult Consulting, LLC, will challenge the girls to recognize their skills and know their value.
