Cultural Competency Best Practices at the 2016 Healthcare Diversity Summit

On May 19, 2016 the Pennsylvania Diversity Council will host the 2016 Philadelphia Healthcare Diversity Summit at Independence Blue Cross. This event is designed to provide healthcare practitioners, administrators, students and professionals with a clear understanding of philosophies and processes that strengthen culturally competent care delivery. The theme of this year’s summit is “Many Faces: Addressing Diversity & Inclusion in Healthcare.

“The Healthcare Diversity Summit prepares us to effectively communicate across cultures,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder & Chair of the National Diversity Council. “This type of dialogue ensures that healthcare professionals are able to provide the best care possible.”

The summit will open with registration, breakfast, and networking from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Participants will then have the chance to discuss how to build an organizational workforce that is culturally competent and inclusive. A question and answer session will follow the discussion.

Individual ticket cost is $69.00. Registration for the Philadelphia Healthcare Diversity Summit is currently ongoing and can be completed at www.padiversitycouncil.org. For more information, please contact Lanre Ogunbufunmi at lanre.ogunbufunmi@nationaldiversitycouncil.org.
