National Women’s Council Hosts Inaugural Norfolk Women in Leadership Symposium

The National Women’s Council Welcomes Top Business Leaders at Women in Leadership Symposium

Norfolk, VA – – On May 19, 2016 the National Women’s Council will be hosting the Inaugural Norfolk-Virginia Beach Women in Leadership Symposium at Old Dominion University. This symposium will bring together a diverse mix of successful women who, through the discussion of topics relevant to today’s issues, will educate, inspire and encourage their peers to reflect on their own goals as they strive to advance within their organizations. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Secure your place at the table.”

“We are excited to bring the Women in Leadership Symposium to Norfolk this year,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder & Chair of the National Diversity Council. “Expanding our reach to new markets gives us the opportunity to acknowledge exceptional women across the nation.”

This half-day event will consist of a moderated panel discussion that will delve into a variety of topics, such as “The Courage to Lead,” Becoming a Person of Influence,” and “Positioning Yourself for the Next Big Opportunity.” Participants include business professionals, entrepreneurs, non-profit organization representatives, and scholars.

Registration and networking will begin at 8:30 a.m. Following registration, the symposium will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Individual ticket cost is $79.00.
