National Women’s Council Hosts 2nd Annual Missouri Women in Leadership Symposium
On June 16, 2016, the National Women’s Council hosted the 2nd Annual Missouri Women in Leadership Symposium in Chesterfield, Missouri. Attendees of the symposium gained knowledge and advice from corporate leaders who shared insight from their personal success and professional leadership experience. This symposium brought together a diverse mix of successful women who, through the discussion of topics relevant to today’s issues, educated, inspired and encouraged their peers to continue striving for success within their own organizations. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Secure your place at the table.”
“The Women in Leadership Symposium is an incredible way to encourage success amongst women in business,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chair of the National Diversity Council. “This type of event gives women the perfect platform to share beneficial knowledge and incite professional growth.”
The half-day event began with registration and a networking breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Attendees were greeted with a welcome from Dawn Wheeler, Vice President of Human Resources at ROi. The symposium featured multiple business leaders from various organizations discussing topics such as “Finding Your Own Voice,” “Developing Political Savvy” and “Positioning Yourself for the Next Big Opportunity.” Following panel discussions, attendees were given the opportunity to share their thoughts in an open question and answer session.
The National Diversity Council would like to thank all the sponsors, speakers, volunteers and attendees for helping to make this event a success.
