California Diversity Council Honors Kaiser Permanente Executive with the Multicultural Leader of the Year Award
San Francisco, CA – – The California Diversity Council is proud to recognize Dick Daniels with the 2016 Multicultural Leader of the Year Award, which will be presented on June 9th at the Northern California Diversity & Leadership Conference at the Hyatt Fisherman’s Wharf. Daniels is the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Kaiser Permanente, America’s’ leading nonprofit integrated health plan.

The Multicultural Leader of the Year award is designed to recognize individuals who have made a difference through their achievements and exemplify their ability to excel in their field. This person demonstrates leadership excellence, sustains a record of accomplishments, and retains commendable reputation with colleagues and superiors.
Daniels has been a technology professional for many years, and has held key technology leadership roles in the financial services industry. After accepting his first role with Kaiser Permanente in 2008, Daniels successfully managed various teams leading to increased consistency and lower costs for the organizations. In this role, he was accountable for strategy development and ensuring the delivery of innovative, leading-edge capabilities that drive Kaiser Permanente’s technology agenda. Daniels continues to prove his leadership capabilities in his current role as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. With more than 30 years of experience, he is responsible for 6,000 IT employees and the vision, strategy and execution of Kaiser Permanente’s information technology.
