Board of Directors

Our Diversity Council Board of Directors is made up of the best and brightest leaders across the nation. These individuals hail from a broad array of industries, from academia to technology, communications to entertainment. This core team governs the Diversity Council and sets the strategy for key initiatives and goals for the Council. Each member of the Diversity Council’s Board of Directors shares a common desire to expand the reach of the Council and help drive its mission and vision of diversity and inclusion in businesses, communities and schools. The board meets every quarter, and twice a year in person.

Responsibilities

Advisory Board

Our Diversity Council Advisory Board is composed of volunteers who help to facilitate our different events and programs in our local markets. If you are passionate about diversity, we encourage you to lend your talents and skills. There is no cost to join. Members of the Advisory Board meet every month, via conference call, and have several in person meetings scheduled throughout the year.

National Women’s Council

Board of Directors

The National Women’s Council Board of Directors is a group of highly-established and regarded leaders from different industries and organizations who collaborate in support of the National Women’s Council, its programs and initiatives. This body is made up of leaders holding a title of Vice President or higher, who execute projects at the direction and discretion of the NWC. Members of the board meet every quarter, and twice a year in person.

Members of the board meet every quarter, and twice a year in person.

DiversityFIRST™

Board of Directors


The Board members who make up the DiversityFIRST™ Board of Directors are dedicated academia members who are interested in driving national diversity initiatives on behalf of DiversityFIRST™ and the National Diversity Council. This group of enthusiastic professors will take charge of DiversityFIRST™ and the initiatives undertaken, collaborating
with one another and the Executive Council and Advisory Board, to bring about real change across the country. The Board
meets every quarter through phone conference.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board of DiversityFIRST™ is largely a supporting entity to the Board of Directors. Advisory Board members are a group of volunteers willing to donate some of their time, skills, and efforts to assist the Board of Directors in any way possible. Advisory Board members are not secretaries, however; Advisory Board members contribute their expertise in the field of diversity and inclusion and use their connections to help the Board of Directors accomplish their tasks. The Advisory Board meets every quarter through phone conference.

GLBT Council

Board of Directors


The all-volunteer Board of Directors of the GLBT Council for Workplace Equality is a group of dedicated, passionate advocates for the rights of all GLBT people. The Board is comprised of the best and brightest GLBT advocates from across the country with one goal in mind: total workplace equality for all people across all 50 states. The Board is open and welcoming of both GLBT and Straight Allies to volunteer, and encourages bridge building as a necessity for equality. The Board members meet via phone conference each quarter to discuss the direction and purpose of the council.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board of the GLBT Council for Workplace Equality is dedicated to generating educational information and fact-finding for the Council. We believe through education and bridge building the GLBT community can better gain acceptance in society at large, and that is what the Advisory Board does: actively identify stereotypes and work to counteract those stereotypes through education. The Advisory Board also serves as a supporting entity to the Board of Directors, using fact-finding and research to assist in initiatives the Board of Directors undertake.
