Georgia Diversity Council Advocates for Workplace Equality at 2016 LGBT-Allies Diversity Summit

ATLANTA, GA – The Georgia Diversity Council will host its 2016 Georgia LGBT-Allies Diversity Summit on June 24, 2016 at the SunTrust Plaza Garden Offices from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The purpose of this event is to promote the advancement of work place equality for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender people while also providing value to today’s leading organizations.

“This summit presents resources and information to elevate the conversation regarding LGBT equality,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder & Chair of the National Diversity Council. “Our hope is that this type of dialogue encourages everyone to check their bias and advocate for inclusion in the workplace.”

Throughout the event, LGBT leaders and experts will speak on topics relating to the event theme of Embracing Change & Celebrating the Movement within the LGBT Community: How Organizations & Leaders Can Contribute to LGBT-Allies Efforts. An executive panel will lead discussion covering topics such as “How to Create a Safe Space Program,” “LGBT Engagement in an Evolving Workplace,” “Executive Sponsorship for LGBT Initiatives” and “Building Bridges in the Workplace” Following discussions, attendees will have the opportunity to share their thoughts in an open question and answer session.
