DiversityFIRST™ Research

The National Diversity Council has a robust diversity research agenda. This agenda includes general research that individuals and or organizations can purchase for their own use. In addition, we provide customized research and benchmarking for organizations designed to address issues of diversity and inclusion within their organizations. Among the research that we provide:

  • Case Studies-our team of researchers design case studies, a form of qualitative descriptive research that is used to analyze diversity in your organization as individuals, a small group of participants, or a group as a whole.  We then present a report that is extensively descriptive and useful for the organization. Possible case studies include: effective diversity councils, effective affinity groups, mentoring with diversity in mind, supplier diversity and its link to economic development, effective diversity recruiting and retention strategies, leading with diversity etc.

  • Annual thought leadership report on what keeps CEOs up at night and how this is related to diversity. Based on quantitative and qualitative data, this report examines how CEOs think about the business and how this is related to the business of diversity.

  • Glass ceiling-This report analyzes different sectors and industries in the following areas to determine if there is a glass ceiling in organizations and what organizations can do to address this. The areas are: hiring, compensation, work life and firm culture, firm governance, discrimination and harassment policies and practices, professional growth, and promotion and retention.

  • Annual report on diversity in the Oil and Gas Industry. This industry is by far one of the largest and most powerful economic forces in the world. This report examines how the industry is doing relative to diversity in People, Suppliers and Corporate Social Responsibility.

  • Industry Research-Entertainment .While many industries have seen a decline in their revenues, certain parts of the entertainment industry has seen a rise.
