National Diversity Council
Lisa Smith currently serves as the VP, of Strategy and Development for the National Diversity Council. In this role Lisa oversees and implements the vision / mission of the council which is to transform strategies into results and lead change management initiatives. Developing cultures of high performance, quality and excellence are cornerstones of Lisa Smith’s career.
Previously Lisa served as Director of Corporate Human Resources and Diversity for Premier Health for 7 years. During her 13 year career with Premier, she worked as part of a team to develop systems, infrastructure, and support to advance Premier’s Human Resources strategy. She has a proven track record of understanding key business drivers, cultivating relationships, and building consensus for organizational improvement.
Lisa is a graduate of Miami University. She has more than 20 years of leadership and management experience, with increasing scope and responsibility and has received numerous awards for outstanding performance. She was recognized with the “Best of the Best” Chairman’s award for Quality Improvement and “Fast Track” award recognizing her learning agility, business acumen, organizational effectiveness, and process improvement are indicative of her history of high performance and commitment to excellence.
Lisa also received The Diversity First Award and the 2013 Minority Health Leadership award for her efforts.
Lisa brings compassion, humanity, understanding, and diverse perspectives and lends her ability to bring forward critical issues to her work– leaving a positive imprint on the lives of those she touches.
