Meg Selfe

Meg SelfeMs. Meg Selfe is responsible for all aspects of new IBM’s Systems Business Unit within the Rational Brand including strategy, sales, marketing, solution and product delivery and development, business partner maturation and overall business unit execution. IBM acquired Telelogic in 2008 to provide a backbone for this business for IBM. Through Systems Engineering principles, process and methodologies, Meg and her team help clients drive effective fusion of software with microelectronics, sensors, and mechanical technologies. This helps the products they produce, and the people they employ, become increasingly intelligent, instrumented, and interconnected. Every day we take examples of embedded systems for granted without recognizing the innovation required to provide business and technical value to the market they service.

Ms. Selfe has over 20 years of executive and engineering experience with leadership positions at IBM, Delphi, Motorola and General Motors. The strengths she brings to bear in any role include launching start-ups and start-overs, removing roadblocks to success, and building winning, high performance teams.

Meg has three patents in the area of engine management and is a graduate of GMI Engineering and Management Institute with a bachelor degree in electrical engineering. She also has a Masters of Science and Engineering Management from The University of Michigan.

In Meg’s spare time, she serves on the board of trustees for Abilities Beyond Disabilities which is a not for profit organization in the NY and CT areas. Abilities Beyond Disabilities was started over 50 years ago by a group of parents with children who had disabilities and wanted a better life for them. Meg Selfe has led a number of events and fundraisers to help benefit this organization.
